With two little ones, babywearing always felt too chaotic and logistically complicated — no matter how nice the carrier looked. And the Artipoppe ones do look good. With their buttery-soft fabrics, chic prints, and impeccable craftsmanship, they're the kind of baby gear that doubles as a fashion accessory.
But after a few long walks and grocery runs, I realized baby carriers caused more hassle than convenience. Despite trying several of them, the structure and weight distribution didn’t work for my back, and — maybe most surprising — they’re deceptively tricky to put on. The Artipoppe ones in particular are a major investment, at well over $300 (with some limited-edition styles nearing $700).. In the end, I’m glad I didn’t splurge given how complicated babywearing turned out to be for me personally. That said, if you’re still curious, consider buying one secondhand for a fraction of the price.
